While the London's Sunday Times reported this weekend that Alexander McQueen creative director, Sarah Burton, has won the high profile gig, there is also word coming out of the McQueen camp that this is simply untrue.
In fact, not only is the fashion house's CEO, Jonathan Akeroyd, denying it, but so is Burton herself.
"I am not doing it," insisted Burton to Vogue.com.
"No, not at all," added Akeroyd. "I'm the CEO, I would know if we were doing it."
Of course, such denials, while perhaps true, could also be a way of honoring Kate's wishes to keep any details regarding her gown a surprise for her future husband.
Not to mention, actual confirmation of Burton's possible involvement would also be viewed as going completely against royal tradition of keeping such information under wraps until the big day.
What isn't being kept under wraps, however, are some adorable shots of a young Kate that have just been added to the official royal wedding site. Too cute!
