The 12-year-old Slumdog Millionaire actress faced a tragic loss as her family's home in Mumbai went up in flames late Friday.

The awards Ali won for her Slumdog role were also lost in the blaze, which reportedly left more than 2,000 homeless.
According to media reports, her family was alerted about the fire by neighbors in just enough time to leave their shack safely.
But that doesn't make the loss any easier.
"I have lost everything, including books and precious belongings like awards, photographs, newspaper clippings and memorabilia from the success of the film," Ali told the Press Trust of India.
"We spent the entire night at the railway station," she added. "So far nobody has come to help us."
Movie director Danny Boyle set up the Jai Ho Trust Fund after the movie's success to help the young actors move out of their deprived conditions at home. Some of the money has been set aside to purchase an apartment for Ali and her family, which we're guessing will be put to very good use very soon.
