Ladies and gentlemen, we have a champion!
The last month has been one of absolute madness as we built up to this, the moment of truth in our Athlebrity Madness tournament! We asked you to vote for the sports star who pulls off both stunning feats of athleticism on the field as well as shining in the celebrity spotlight, becoming that entertainment phenomenon known as the Athlebrity.
The Finals between David Beckham and Hank Baskett were close. So who took home the title?

David Beckham! While the soccer star and international celeb had a harder time defeating the wide receiver than his past competition, he ultimately pulled ahead and grabbed 54 percent of the vote to Hank's 46.
Sorry, Hank, your upset streak to the finals was impressive, but better luck next time.
So what was it about Becks that propelled him to the title? Take a look at his résumé and it becomes clear the man is the textbook definition of an Athlebrity:
1. He's a phenomenal soccer star: Before he came stateside to play for the Galaxy in Los Angeles, his skills were sought by some of the most successful clubs in the world, teams like Manchester United, A.C. Milan, Real Madrid and, of course, the English national team.
2. He's married to a Spice Girl: As if his famous skills weren't enough, marrying Posh Spice will definitely find you a place in the spotlight. Oh, and if you go on to become one of most glamorous couples ever, that doesn't hurt either.
3. He's a successful model: Never one to shy away from that celeb recognition, David sported some skivvies for an Armani underwear campaign. Yes, hysteria ensued.
4. He's a philanthropist: What's the point of it all if you don't give back? Not only does his foundation with wife Victoria help provide wheelchairs for children in need, he's also active with groups like Malaria No More, Help for Heroes, which helps injured service personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, and UNICEF. Talk about using the spotlight for good.
5. He's an inspiration: Back in 2002, Becks joined the ranks of uplifting sports movies with Bend It Like Beckham, the story of a British girl raised in an orthodox Sikh family who rebels to follow her dreams to play on the pitch. With this kind of big-screen recognition, it's safe to say Athlebrity is a fitting title.
Congratulations to David and all those Athlebrities who competed, and don't forget to follow all the Athlebrity action on Twitter .
