BOOK LAUNCH FOR FELA

An Osogbo Osun State based multimedia organization known as Front Page Media is putting up a public lecture and book launch in Abeokuta to mark the birthday of the late Afro beat Maestro Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
The organization which is bringing part of this year`s edition of Felabration to Abeokuta has fixed Monday the 15th of October for the public lecture and Book launch. The two events shall hold at Olumo Rock Tourist Complex at Ikija Abeokuta. Gateway gists gathered that the lecture which is titled "Fela Anikulapo Kuti: An Agent of change" will be delivered by Dr Sola Olorunyomi of the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, while a book entitled "The Primary Man of an African Personality" written by one Jawi Oladapo – Ola, a Fela enthusiast and published by Front Page Media has also been slated for launch and review on the day. Dr. Kayode Esuola from the Political Science Department of Unilag, the reviewer of the book and several other notable dignitaries like Femi Falana, Omooba Yemisi Shyllon, Don Jazzy, Hon Segun Oluade, Mr. Joseph Odobeatu, Mrs. Folake Ali Memurey, Chief Olu Odeyemi, Hon Suraj Adekunbi, lanre Tejuoso, Dede Mabiaku and several others have been invited for the occasion.
