Delta State Governor accused of not doing his Job

Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is currently being attacked by the people of Okpe Kingdom of the state for abandoning several projects in their area. They also frowned at the Governor's lack of commitment towards the take-off of the 4 new Polytechnics in Delta State, 2 years after
he had inaugurated a 6-man planning committee to work out modalities on the take-off of the institution. In a statement signed by the Secretary-General of the Okpe Kingdom, Henry Ebireri,he pointed out that the abandonment of the project amounts to a great damage to the people of Kingdom. According to him, "Effective leadership is not about speeches or being liked.Leadership is defined by results, not attributes. Good governance is defined not by rhetoric but by actions translated to developmental projects. The high level of unemployment and poverty in the kingdom would have been reduced if the market and other abandoned projects have been completed to provide economic opportunities for the people as well as reduce the cost of transporting goods from the villages to the major towns in the kingdom and the State".The Okpe people however appealed to Governor Uduaghan to place immense premium on human capital development, saying it constitutes to development in all ramifications.
