The only way is down for Essex boy Mark

The Only Way is Essex "star" Mark Wright is reported to have spent a day in a police cell after being arrested over a punch-up at his nightclub.

The 23-year-old was carted off to Ilford police station along with best pal Jack Tweed's younger brother Lewis after worried club-goers dialled 999 when a brawl broke out in Deuces Bar and Lounge, Chigwell.

The Sun claims that the fighting was sparked when a local "heavy" began "kicking off" - and says Mark believes the same man firebombed the venue last year after he had failed to pay protection money.

The paper's source said: "It was like a red rag to a bull for Mark and fighting started. Punches were thrown before worried club-goers called police."

And it is reported that bosses at the ITV2 show now plan to "read him the riot act" over the trouble.

Mark's had a busy time of it lately, what with a barrage of Twitter abuse as well.
