But more shocking still is the news that the mother of the baby has reportedly offered to pay back the £10 million she got from Ronaldo so that she can gain access to her child.
According to The Sunday Mirror, the 20-year-old British student has changed her mind about the alleged hush money and regrets handing over Ronaldo Jr.
A source close to the unnamed woman, told the paper: "She's often calling him late at night. She cried down the phone to him and pleads with him.
"He shouldn't even be in contact with her but they have got into a twisted sort of routine."
Twisted is right... the insider reckons the woman, who has explained her sudden wealth away by declaring it a lottery win, calls "to congratulate" the Real Madrid player after games in the hope that he will rethink access to the baby.
The source added: "She feels like she has sold her soul. She has this millionaire lifestyle but can never tell her friends and family the truth about what has happened and that makes her feel incredibly lonely."
Ronaldo's having none of it though - he insists that it was her decision to leave the child with him after the one night stand and is rumoured to have said of the woman: "I've only spent time with her naked."
It is thought that a clause in the contract prevents her from discussing the situation with anybody.
